A query was raised to consider why Charlie Fellowes was running Eve Lodge (GB) here at Yarmouth on going described as Good to Firm, having declared the filly a non-runner at Ascot on 16 June 2021 on ground with the same official description.
The representative of Charlie Fellowes stated that, in their opinion, the ground at Ascot was riding faster than the official description and believed Eve Lodge (GB) would be better suited to the ground here today.
Following the race, Darragh Keenan, the rider of Power Il Topo (IRE), unplaced, and Paul Mulrennan, the rider of Homemade Andrea (IRE), unplaced, both reported that their mounts ran too free in the early stages of the race and Ray Dawson reported that Oscar Bear (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure.
