The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lough Derg, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis
G.M. Ryan, rider of Bowerman (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared slightly and was slowly away
The Stewards enquired into an incident about two and a half furlongs from home involving Agitare, ridden by K.J
Manning, unplaced and Reve De Vol, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first, where it appeared that Agitare had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K. J. Manning stated that his mount was off the bridle and only just holding his position when he anticipated Reve De Vol coming out, as he could see how well it was going. C. T. Keane stated that his mount travelled well and he pulled out when he thought he was clear but straightened again as soon as he heard K. J. Manning shout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
