The Stewards interviewed B. Browne, rider of Punters Poet, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that B. Browne was in breach of R10.3.(g)(frequency) and R10.3(i) and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 4 racedays
The Stewards interviewed S. O'Callaghan, rider of Royal Recital, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he lost count of the number of times he used his whip and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that S. O'Callaghan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 3 racedays
The Stewards interviewed D.J. Hand, rider of Autumn Crusade, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip when out of contention
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence which included a report from the IHRB veterinary officer the Stewards were satisfied that D.J. Hand was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b)(out of contention) and Regulation 10.3(f)(force) and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 2 racedays
