Upon leaving the stalls, My Sister Jo (GB), placed second, jumped right-handed bumping the winner, Trepidation (GB), which in turn caused Selfless Act (IRE), unplaced, to be hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of My Sister Jo (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the first bend involving Urban Highway (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Tom Marquand, Jaganory (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Rhiain Ingram, One One Seven (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Cam Hardie and At Your Service (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Joey Haynes.
The interference was found to be accidental as At Your Service (GB) had edged slightly left- handed towards a free-running One One Seven (IRE) which then shifted left-handed away from that runner, causing Jaganory (IRE) to be crowded for racing room.
It was considered that a very free- running Urban Highway (IRE) had been checked off the heels of Jaganory (IRE) independently of this incident by its rider Tom Marquand.
Inside the final furlong, Josephine Gordon, the rider of Fact Or Fable (IRE), placed third, accidentally struck the whip of Joey Haynes, the rider of At Your Service (GB), placed fifth, causing him to drop his whip.
Following the race, William Cox reported that Love Baileys (GB), placed sixth, was restless in the stalls, Josephine Gordon reported that Fact Or Fable (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed on the home turn, Cam Hardie reported that One One Seven (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed on the home turn and Tom Marquand reported that Urban Highway (IRE), placed eighth, ran too freely.
