Thomas Greatrex the rider of Tranchee (IRE) was unseated on leaving the stalls.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by the gelding stumbling resulting in the rider losing his irons and becoming unbalanced.
Therefore, the Stewards were satisfied that Tranchee (IRE) had unseated its rider after the start had been effected, and was deemed to be a runner.
Paula Muir the rider of Sassoon (GB), unplaced, was slow to remove the blindfold.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Muir’s explanation was noted that she had been distracted by the rider of Redrosezorro (GB) who was having difficulties in the next stall, causing her to be slightly late in removing the blindfold.
Following the race, Paula Muir reported that Sassoon (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
Duran Fentiman reported that Reeth (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference at the start from the loose horse.
