An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately half a furlong out, involving the winner, Dubai Harbour (GB), ridden by Paddy Bradley, Lost In Time (GB), placed second, ridden by David Probert and Forge Valley Lad (GB), placed third, ridden by Joey Haynes.
The Stewards found the interference was accidental and had not improved Dubai Harbour (GB)’S placing, as Lost In Time (GB) and Forge Valley Lad (GB) had lost little momentum as a result of the interference, with the winner always holding both runners and the winning distance being two necks at the line.
The Stewards’ deemed the interference to be accidental as Bradley’s mount had lugged right-handed before ducking sharply further right-handed despite his best efforts to keep it straight.
The Clerk of the Scales reported that Taylor Fisher, the rider of Harlington (FR), placed fourth, trained by Joe Tickle, had weighed in at 9st 4lbs having weighed out at 9st 2lbs.
The rider, the Trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Fisher was suspended for 3 days for weighing in at 2lbs overweight.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Lost In Time (GB), placed second, was slowly away.
Rossa Ryan reported that Sunset In Paris (IRE), unplaced, lost its action down the hill; the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had on overreach on its left-fore.
