I don't know what weight he'll have to carry there but he's entered in it. If he doesn't run there he'll get a break. That's his sixth win of the year so he's done well. The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Ramiro, ridden by G.P. Brouder, unplaced and Kodiac Prince, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, where it appeared that Kodiac Prince got tight for room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G. P. Brouder stated that his mount drifted left when he used the whip in his right hand. R. P. Cleary stated that he received pressure from his outside and had to check off heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G
P. Brouder was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered G. P. Brouder's record in this regard the Stewards suspended G. P. Brouder for two racedays
R.P. Cleary, rider of Kodiac Prince trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered.
