O'Brien, rider of Schubert (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ducked in the straight. J.A. Heffernan, rider of Nutini, trained by Madeleine Tylicki, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered slight interference in the straight. The Stewards requested a report from Edward Lynam, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Midnight Crossing, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on her last start for no apparent reason. He added that she returned to form today wearing blinkers for the first time. Having considered the report the Stewards noted it's content.
