The Stewards reviewed an incident after the last hurdle involving Shantou Lucky, ridden by C.D. Maxwell and Paddy Wickla (GB), ridden by P.J. O'Hanlon, where it appeared the two horses got close. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (116 = 11st 10lbs) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 10lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
