The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Damalisque (FR), trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be distressed post race
The Stewards interviewed A.P. Kelly, rider of Bread And Butter, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that A. P. Kelly was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended A. P. Kelly for two racedays
D.N. Russell, rider of Duffle Coat trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race
