An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Euchen Glen (GB), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Muscutt, If Not Now (GB), unplaced, ridden by Rossa Ryan and Grand Alliance (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Buick.
Muscutt was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to move left-handed towards the rail, when insufficiently clear of If Not Now (GB), carrying that gelding several horse widths left-handed off its intended line, which ultimately forced Ryan to steady and in turn inconvenienced Grand Alliance (IRE).
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that Euchen Glen (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed in the home straight and Hollie Doyle reported that Waxing Gibbous (GB), placed second, hung right-handed under pressure.
