On leaving the stalls, Quest For Fun (GB), unplaced, jumped right taking Mohareb (GB), unplaced, off its intended line, which in turn caused Nelson Gay (IRE), placed second, Badri (GB), unplaced, and Dig Two (IRE), placed fourth, to be badly hampered.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Badri (GB), unplaced, was short of room leaving the stalls.
Pat Cosgrave reported that Nelson Gay (IRE), placed second, ran too free.
Alistair Rawlinson reported that having suffered interference leaving the stalls, Mohareb (GB), unplaced, was never travelling thereafter.
