Permission was given for Water Of Leith (IRE) to go early to post; for Sterling Knight (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Seven Brothers (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted in the chute.
Daniel Muscutt the rider of the winner, Temple Bruer (GB), was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from approximately 1 ½ furlongs out.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 2 furlongs out, involving Muscika (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jason Watson, Honky Tonk Man (IRE), placed second, ridden by Adam Kirby, Mister Bluebird (GB), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Mullen and the winner Temple Bruer (GB), ridden by Daniel Muscutt.
The interference was found to be accidental as Muscika (GB) hung quickly left-handed, at the same time as Kirby committed for a legitimate gap on Honky Tonk Man (IRE), resulting in Honky Tonk Man (IRE) receiving a bump and becoming unbalanced, which in turn caused interference to Mister Bluebird (GB) and Temple Bruer (GB).
Approaching the final furlong, Water Of Leith (IRE), placed sixth, hung quickly right giving a bump to Boogie Time (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Water Of Leith (IRE).
Following the race, Ben Robinson reported that Strike Red (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away, Paul Mulrennan reported that Badri (GB), unplaced, denied a clear run inside the final furlong, Jason Watson reported that Muscika (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed, Ray Dawson reported that Lir Speciale (IRE), placed third, became short of room 1 ½ furlongs out and Andrew Mullen reported that Mister Bluebird (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out.
