The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident between the second last and last hurdle involving Ninth Loch, ridden by P. Townend, placed second, and Smooth Tom, ridden by C.M. Quirke, placed first where it appeared Ninth Loch may have came across onto Smooth Tom's racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
P. Townend stated that his mount was hanging and did all he could to keep him straight. C.M. Quirke stated that he saw Ninth Loch drifting across and took a precautionary check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, G.B. Noonan, rider of Boxcar Molly, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was keen early on and flattened out
