Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the two fences in the home straight to be omitted from this race
The Stewards interviewed Mr P. Power, rider of Memory Tree, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. P. Power in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. P. Power's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. P. Power for two racedays
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards rated 0-116 that have not won a steeplechase before 1st February 2020, other than one hunters steeplechase within the previous two National Hunt seasons Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight is 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
