The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Arctic Light (GB), trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis
The Stewards requested a report from P.J. Rothwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Fiveaftermidnight, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Punchestown 15th October. P.J. Rothwell reported that his charge was ridden handy at Punchestown but did not jump fluently. Since then the filly was schooled over hurdles and fitted today with cheek pieces for the first time. Furthermore she was dropped in off the pace and travelled well until being given plenty of daylight at which time she picked up well and got confidence when passing horses. He added that she has ability but everything must be done to suit her to get the best out of her. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report
