The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Brassil, rider of Bite That, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. C. Brassil accepted that he was in breach of R10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of R.10.3(h),in that he had used his whip with his above shoulder height on several occasions. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Raceday Stewards suspended C. Brassil for 6 racedays.
