The Stewards interviewed M.J. Molloy, rider of Missiee, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that M.J. Molloy was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion
The Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer €65 for failing to fit a tongue strap Abbeyfeale which had been declared.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-102 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
