The Stewards interviewed L. Quinlan, rider of Bitview Colin, concerning his use of the whip in the final circuit of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that L. Quinlan was in breach of R10.3(g) frequency and having considered his record they suspended him for 7 racedays

An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards rated 0-102 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
