Permission was given for Might I (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and wear a red hood to the start.
My Bobby Dazzler (GB) unseated Charlie Deutsch in the chute just before going out onto the track.
Having been checked by the Doctor, Deutsch was deemed fit to ride.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following incidents of interference approaching the last hurdle and after jumping the last hurdle involving the winner, Zain Nights (GB), ridden by Gavin Sheehan and My Bobby Dazzler (GB), placed second, ridden by Charlie Deutsch.
Having viewed recordings of both incidents and heard evidence from Sheehan and Deutsch, the Stewards established that in the first incident Zain Nights (GB) lugged left-handed and briefly moved My Bobby Dazzler (GB) off its intended racing line.
Furthermore, in the second incident on the run in, Zain Nights (GB) edged left-handed under a right-handed drive carrying My Bobby Dazzler (GB) off its intended racing line before also lightly brushing with that gelding.
Taking into account the minimal nature of the interference suffered by My Bobby Dazzler (GB) and the Head margin separating the pair at the line, the Stewards were unable to be satisfied that had the interference not occurred, My Bobby Dazzler (GB), would have finished in front of Zain Nights (GB) and therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The first incident was found to be accidental as the move from Zain Nights (GB) had been quick and without warning.
In the second incident, Sheehan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed without timely correction thereby causing interference to My Bobby Dazzler (GB).
