An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line when the winner, Destroytheevidence (GB), ridden by Tom Bellamy, interfered with Haiti Couleurs (FR), placed second, ridden by Ben Jones.
Bellamy was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without correction when insufficiently clear of Haiti Couleurs (FR), causing Jones to take a slight check.
The performance of G A Henty (GB), which was pulled up, was considered.
The representative of Dan Skelton could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance on this occasion, other than this was a more competitive race and a step up in class.
The Veterinary Officer examined G A Henty (GB) post-race and reported that the gelding had been struck into on its right hind.
Following the race, Richie McLernon reported that his saddle slipped on Sea Music (IRE), which was pulled up and Michael Nolan reported that Goshhowposh (IRE), unplaced, made a bad mistake 4 fences out.
