At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr N. Gault, rider of Augusta George, trained by W J Bryson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left all the way up the straight
Mr F. Maguire, rider of Getaway George, trained by Sarah Dawson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled hard in the early part of this race and hung right throughout
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident over two furlongs from the finish involving Augusta George, ridden by Mr N. Gault, unplaced, and Did I Ask You That, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed fourth, where it appeared that Augusta George lay in on Did I Ask You That. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
