The Stewards interviewed A.W. Short, rider of Dubai Devils, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that A. W. Short was in breach of Regulation 10.3.d, in that he had hit his mount after the winning post had been reached. Having considered A. W. Short's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
