The Stewards interviewed Miss E.A. Lalor, rider of Ask Mary, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss E.A. Lalor was in breach of R10(3)(i) by using her whip without allowing her mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Miss E.A. Lalor on this occasion
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Wake Up Early, trained by Francis J. Flood, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
