The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Psyche (GB), ridden by S
Foley, placed first and Stinglikeabee, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fourth, where it appeared that Psyche received a bump in the closing stages. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found R. C. Colgan in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record they suspended him for one raceday.
