They both got a lovely passage. Robbie (Power) was brilliant on Indo and Rachael amazing on A Plus Tard. It definitely does (feel different this year), just the crowds looking here at the stand — it’s just incredible. This is what it’s all about. Permission was given for Galvin (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Galvin (IRE), trained by Gordon Elliott, did not Parade as the gelding was fractious in the Parade Ring and given permission by the Stewards to go straight to post.
Charlie Deutsch, the rider of Royale Pagaille (FR), placed fifth, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from just after jumping the penultimate fence.
Following the race, Daniel Mullins reported that Tornado Flyer (IRE), which was pulled up, made jumping mistakes.
