Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The performance of Hillcrest (IRE), which was pulled up, was considered.
Richard Patrick reported that the gelding was never travelling and Henry Daly could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Hillcrest (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Brorson (IRE), placed eighth, received treatment for post-race ataxia, that Green Book (FR), placed fifth, also received treatment for post-race ataxia and had lost both of its hind shoes, and that Classic Getaway (IRE), which was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
