Conor O’Dwyer was cautioned as Capilano Bridge (IRE) had arrived in the Parade Ring without the declared blinkers and ran wearing a modified visor.

The winner, The Big Galloper (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Punchestown on 31 December 2021 where the gelding finished ninth of fifteen, beaten by 23 lengths.
It was noted that Charles Byrnes could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.

Following the race, Brian Hughes reported that One Night In Milan (IRE), placed fifth, hung left- handed.
Ciaran Murphy reported that Coastal World (FR), unplaced, was unsuited by the track which in his opinion was too sharp for the gelding.
