An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when JIM ‘N’ TONIC, who dead heated for second place, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, drifted left-handed, taking Heaven Forfend (GB), who dead heated for second place, ridden by Colm O’Donoghue, off its intended line.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved JIM ‘N’ TONIC (IRE)’s placing as it was a dead-heat and revised the placings as follows: First, Light Angel (GB), Second, Heaven Forfend (GB) and third JIM ‘N’ TONIC (IRE).
Kieran O’Neill was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift left-handed, away from the whip, without sufficient correction.
One and a half furlongs out Sir Oliver (IRE), unplaced, shifted marginally right-handed causing interference to Indian Creak (IRE), unplaced, who in turn interfered with Pilsdon Pen (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
