S. Foley, rider of Serialise, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right throughout
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer of Anvika and Salah Belle, regarding the late arrival of the horses into the Parade Ring which contributed to a delayed off time. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that she had to wait for W.J. Lee to weigh out and he was held up doing interviews after winning the previous race. She further added that she had to tack up her two charges in the stableyard as they can be difficult
Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted Ms. Sheila Lavery's explanation
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Serialise, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Emma Doyle, Authorised Representative, stated that the filly was found to have been in season following her last run in Leopardstown on the 11th of July
Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards ,using their powers under Rule 14(ii)(b), referred the matter on to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards fillies only that are EBF eligible (90 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
