Shayzann is tried in a hood now after two big runs recently but does have to give a chunk of weight away to his rivals. Thor's Hammer steps up a bit in trip now. He missed the kick and had to work to get to the front at Galway last time. This small field may suit.

it was lovely to win his maiden, it was a very nice run the first day and a track like this really suited him. I put him in the Meld Stakes today and we'll see where we go from there. Ben (Coen) said he hit the line well and he'll definitely get another furlong, probably two. He's a big horse and I think he's going to improve with a bit of racing. He always showed plenty of ability it was just a matter of giving him time and letting him mature into his size. Ben said he rode him like a favourite, there wasn't that much pace on and he arrived there well. We were disappointed the last day when we thought he'd nearly win in Leopardstown, but maybe his first run back maybe took a little out of him. He had a nice little space between runs today. It was beautiful and we're delighted, especially with the day that's in it, for Malachy (Ryan — Moyglare Stud manager), and Miss Haefner for this to come to plan. It wasn't really the plan though as we genuinely thought he'd take a run, he's a big horse. He hasn't missed a day but our horses do take a run. He's a gentleman at home and from the word go we've liked him. Colin had ridden a horse for Michael O'Callaghan in the race that he liked (Ocean Conquest) and the form of Donnacha (O'Brien's) horse (Starliner) has worked out well. We knew that it wasn't going to be an easy race so for him to do that, and the way he stuck his head out, we're delighted. Colin said it's beautiful ground out there and he wouldn't want it any quicker. With the size of him it'll be next year. It opens doors for us, he's in some big races but we'll see how he comes out of the race. He still would have had a hard race today because it was a shock to the system.
