Quotes on Blues Emperor (IRE)
The horses are all going well. We worked them all on Tuesday and their scopes were clean and bloods were good. We had two fancied horses coming here today. On home work Rahmi (fourth) is a flashy worker but this horse when you get him to the races, and he gets into that rhythm, he’s hard to pass. That bit of rain we’ve had the last few days suited him. A stiff mile here is good for him, he’s very brave and when he gets to the front he doesn’t like being passed. He’s entered in Leopardstown for the mile and one (Nasrullah Handicap) and will probably go there and Rahmi might go to Galway. After Blues Emperor (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 2nd Jul 2023 1m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Walhaan (IRE)
We said we were going to have one shot at him (Psalm) and we weren't going to do the donkey work today. Ben said 'I'll have one go at him' and it worked lovely. What a genuine horse to go to battle with, he's been very good. It is something that we would always be thinking about - swapping the headgear around and bits and pieces. We took the headgear off him there for a couple of runs and he ran a couple of crackers. I just felt the last day he was waiting a bit for them, so thinking about it during the week we said we would put the cheekpieces on. He only had them on once. We just put Ben up. Darragh (O'Sullivan) has done a brilliant job on him, he has done nothing wrong. We just said we would go for a bit more experience today in what we thought was going to be a tactical race. Ben said he moved beautifully down to the start, he said he gave him some feel. He said they went a true gallop and he said at the furlong pole he thought he had a chance. He didn't say he was going to win, but he thought he had a chance. He said he really battled for him then. I would say he'll come back here. We will let him freshen up again as he likes to be fresh. That's his career-high mark he is after winning off as an eight-year-old. From the horse's point of view, it is thumbs up to him. It is impressive. He is thriving on his work. After Walhaan (IRE) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 18th Oct 2024 1m 2f Flat Hcap Standard

Quotes on No More Porter (IRE)
He was very good on him. He doesn't usually back up his races and I took a chance after the other day in Listowel. Fair play to Ronny (Whelan), he didn't abuse him the other day after his chance was gone. He didn't have a hard race and came home and grubbed up well. That was a big factor to running him again. . He never runs a bad race here, it was probably my mistake going to Listowel. It's worked out now so it's not too bad. . He's been a bit unlucky and hasn't won in a few years, since we bought him. He's been second in a Galway Mile and in three or four good premier handicaps. . He's a very good horse in those big handicaps when they go fast. They went good and fast today, he hit a bit of a flat spot in the middle but he stays galloping. . He's well handicapped if we can get another pot somewhere. There is a race on the last day of the year at Leopardstown but he doesn't want it very soft either. Quotes on Pier Pressure (FR)
it's a pity for Amy Jo (Hayes, jockey) as I used to work with her father and she was due to ride him but was claimed for one of her regular stables today, so we went back to Jack who has gone jumping. The horse loves getting in to trouble and he's due that win. We kept him on the team, he leads work at home and he'll pay his way. The other filly (Vivienda) is inexperienced, was a three-year-old racing against older hardened horses and it was her first time in a big handicap. There are plenty of days in her. After Pier Pressure (FR) finished 1st at Gowran Park on Sat, 27th Jul 2024 1m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Black Storm (IRE)
I rode his dad (Ten Sovereigns) a lot and his dad was very weak and then all of a sudden he came right. I think he won three races, including a Group 1, in three weeks. This lad didn't run as a two-year-old, he was obviously weak. I ride a bit of work for Kevin and I'm loving it. He was a steering job and I enjoy all steering jobs!. I got him off Ken Condon who had all the work done with him. He ran in a barrier trial and we got him after that. He improved from the barrier trial and he improved from the run in Cork. Probably a bit worried coming back to seven (furlongs) on a quicker surface, but that was the only option because he needs good ground. I was going to go to Killarney on Monday, so I have made the right call. I'd say he is a very nice horse. The O'Flynns in Cork own him, good supporters of mine over the years. I don't know, but I presume they will sell him. After Black Storm (IRE) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 4th Oct 2024 7f Flat Maiden Standard

Quotes on Blue Soul (IRE)
I’m absolutely chuffed to bits for Declan Landy as that’s the first winner he’s bred himself. James was excellent on her. He knew there was going to be a good gallop, but he had a good clock in his head. He said she idled a little in front so there is still a bit left there and might improve stepped up in trip. Chris (Hayes) rode her at the Curragh and got into a fair bit of trouble but fair play he looked after her and Ger said we’ll run her back. After Blue Soul (IRE) finished 1st at Tipperary on Wed, 3rd Jul 2024 7f Flat Hcap Good to Firm

Quotes on Port Louis (IRE)
I thought he'd win so that was great,. Colin likes him and said he'll go another furlong. He's always shown us plenty and he had a good run at the Curragh the last day over six, which was a bit too short for him. We thought seven would suit him. He only cost six grand so he was getting in here with a low weight. I suppose we'll have to think about the sales race, the seven-furlong race in Naas at the end of the season. I think there is a winner's race here and he might come back for that. Unfortunately, Jimmy Kernohan, who is from Randalstown, is not here as his wife wasn't that well. He's one of our long-time owners and has been with me an awful long time. I think that's his first Flat horse, we wheeled him out in the middle of a bunch and he said 'I want him!'After Port Louis (IRE) finished 1st at Roscommon on Mon, 22nd May 2023 7f Flat Maiden Good to Yielding

Quotes on Punk Poet (IRE)
Sarah rode him out yesterday and said he was in great form. We were afraid Brains might take us on and hassle us but Chris (Hayes) got him out good and sharp. He was okay until turning out of the back straight when another horse got carted with and hassled him a bit. Once they are going a good even gallop he enjoys it and that’s three he’s won this year. Aileen owns him and loves him and the girl that minds him, Winnie, adores the horse so it will be a happy team going home. Aileen sneaked off at the sales and bought him. I was wondering what she was doing but he’s better than the ones I was buying!. Once you go into the high 70s or low 80s you are kind of limited for options and that’s why there are not too many runners in these races because people don’t keep them in training due to the lack of opportunities. We’ll find another one for him and kick on.After Punk Poet (IRE) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 10th Nov 2023 1m Flat Hcap Standard
