FormscanBy John O'Riordan - A reproduction of her recent fourth at Roscommon would probably be good enough to see KATHERINE register a second career success. The form of that latter race received a boost when the runner-up went on to win at Sligo next time. Given that she was only beaten a length by that subsequent winner despite being short of room at a crucial stage, the Adrian Sexton-trained mare should go close. As she has run some of her best races on tight right-handed tracks such as this, Cruisin Susan has to be considered. Although yet to add to her Tramore maiden win from almost two years ago, the Walk In The Park mare has run well on a number of occasions. Having shown definite improvement on her latest two runs, Sydney Cruiser commands respect in a first-time hood.

I had some very good horses, had lots of winners but gave up training for 10 years and we moved to Australia. We came home two weeks before the lockdown and one of the reasons was Harry wanted to have a go at being a jockey. He had always been listening to these stories and watching DVDs and videos of our horses running. We can only train what we have and I have to thank Marc (Salmon) who has stuck with me when others deserted. He has three horses with me, we're looking for a couple more and if it wasn't for good owners I'd be finished. She ran here the other day and was fourth. She is what she is and I'd say fitness was the biggest part of her win today. That's a second winner on the track for John (son and jockey). He has a degree in Business from Trinity, but he decided to stay with horses rather than going getting a proper job!
