FormscanBy Alan Magee - THE NICE GUY completed a clean sweep of the four bumpers for Willie Mullins at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting when following up an initial success at Fairyhouse the previous month. He’s held in good regard and it’s interesting Paul Townend rides him rather than Ramillies, who also won a bumper at Leopardstown the previous season and was subsequently campaigned in Grade 1 company. The Short Go made a pleasing debut when third to Hawai Game in a maiden over course and distance just before Christmas, while Mahler Allstar obviously hasn’t been the easiest to train but has useful placed form both in bumpers and over hurdles. He was absent for a year before reappearing at Cork earlier this month when prominent throughout until exiting at the last.
A hurdle for five years old and upwards, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and that have not run as a two or three yr old under Rules of RacingWeights - 12st Mares allowed 7lbs
