It looked like the winner would come from a group of seven turning in and Jak Dream was delivered with a well-timed run to land the spoils.
Settled mid-division he tracked the leaders into the straight before being produced to lead two out. He stayed on gamely to repel the challenge of Premier Hero.
He came from a fair way back when chasing home Dover Street at Navan last Saturday and being closer to the pace this time paid dividends.
Premier Hero had been prominent throughout but couldn't match the winner from before the last. He is a consistent sort but looks vulnerable to better handicapped rivals.
Ten To Twelve chased the leaders throughout but could only stay on at one pace after moving through to third after the second last.
She had shown good improvement when scoring at Cork last time and this was another solid effort.
Guiding Dream, an all-the-way winner at Clonmel last time, set out to repeat those tactics but had no more to offer after being headed two out while Dubai King, who had tracked the leaders into the straight along with the winner, could find no extra from two out.
Balance Of Power was the subject of a morning gamble (as big as 20/1 with Ladbrokes to 4/1). He was easy to back on course however (6/1 to 8/1) and never got involved.
