An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Fact Or Fable (IRE), ridden by Liam Keniry and Deacs Delight (GB), placed second, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Fact Or Fable (IRE)’s placing as the gelding was over ¾ length up on Deacs Delight (GB) at the time of the interference, going on to win comfortably by ¾ length.
Keniry was cautioned for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting right-handed, resulting in O’Neill having to switch his mount off heels.
Following the race, Cieren Fallon reported that he took a precautionary check off heels, on the run to the line off on Send In The Clouds (GB), placed fourth and Connor Planas reported that Royal Debut (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed and was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong out.
