The Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Timourid, placed first, as compared with its recent run here at Dundalk on the 15th October when finishing twelfth of fourteen runners. Philip Heenan, Authorised representative for Denis Gerard Hogan reported that their charge was suited by the slow early pace in this race which allowed the animal to travel better and in his opinion this brought about the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report
Shane Lyons, Authorised representative for G.M.Lyons, trainer of Leadership Race, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Leadership Race, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the right nostril post race.
