Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Gunnabedun (IRE), edged left at the same time as Raquelle (IRE), placed sixth, edged right, causing Carla Koala (GB), placed seventh, to be slightly checked, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placings of either Gunnabedun (IRE) or Carla Koala (GB).
Following the race, Rachel Richardson reported that her saddle slipped on Raquelle (IRE).
Derek Shaw reported that Remission (GB), placed eighth, was unsuited by the fibresand surface on this occasion.
