An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference inside the final furlong when Carla Koala (GB), placed third, ridden by Ellie MacKenzie, interfered with Jaganory (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Callum Shepherd.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of Carla Koala (GB) as Jaganory (IRE), which was finishing fast down the outside, was taken off its line and the momentum lost combined with the fact that Shepherd had to stop riding for a number of strides, cost the gelding more than the head by which he was beaten.
The placings were revised as follows: Third; Jaganory (IRE), fourth; Carla Koala (GB).
MacKenzie was cautioned for careless riding for allowing her mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction.
Following the race, Josephine Gordon reported that Catapult (GB), placed fifth, hung left-handed round the bend, Jane Elliott reported that Maerchengarten (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed round the bend, and Charles Bishop reported that Plum Duff (GB), placed eighth, suffered interference shortly after leaving the stalls.
