An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Ower Starlight (GB), ridden by Alec Voikhansky, Purple Poppy (GB), placed third, ridden by Cam Hardie, and Eastern Star (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rossa Ryan.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Voikhansky was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
Voikhansky was suspended for 4 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to shift left-handed without correction, intimidating Purple Poppy (GB) marginally off her intended line causing Hardie to have to take a check and switch her in behind, after which point Voikhansky continued to allow Ower Starlight (GB) to hang left- handed taking Eastern Star (IRE) notably off its intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Think Trigger (IRE), unplaced, found the gelding to have an irregular heartbeat and Rossa Ryan reported that Eastern Star (IRE), placed second, suffered interference inside the final furlong.
