Approximately one furlong after the start, a free-running Dew You Believe (IRE), unplaced, shifted left- handed hampering City Escape (IRE), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately 7 furlongs out, the hard pulling winner, Caracristi (GB), had to be checked when its rider had been unable to prevent it running onto the heels of Dynakite (GB), placed fourth, which edged slightly left- handed and ultimately caused Kells (IRE), unplaced, to be badly tightened for room against the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, John Egan reported that Boy George (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed and David Egan reported that City Escape (IRE), placed third, suffered interference one furlong after the start.
