The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gee Rex, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
S.M. Crosse, rider of Gee Rex trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled
B.M. Coen, rider of Dare To Flare trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount broke very slowly
D. McMonagle, rider of Nibiru trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not jump out of the stalls
The Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Raphael (GER), placed Place, as compared with its recent form. Adrian McGuinness stated that his charge can be very keen and that a change of bit today allowed him to settle much better. Furthermore, Mr. McGuinness stated that todays race was a massive drop in class and he felt that the combination of both these factors had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form when compared to his most recent runs. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
