An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls, when Argirl (GB), unplaced, ridden by Georgia Dobie, interfered with JEN’S GIFT, placed third, ridden by Stephen Mooney, which in turn caused interference to Chorus Girl (GB), unplaced, ridden by Shane Kelly.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Mooney was offered accompaniment in the enquiry, but declined.
Dobie was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as she had manoeuvred right taking JEN’S GIFT off its intended line and given the filly a bump, which then resulted in Kelly having to take a check against the rail on Chorus Girl (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final ½ furlong when the winner, My Dubawi (IRE), ridden by Oisin Murphy interfered with Odisseo (GB), placed second, ridden by David Egan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of My Dubawi (IRE) as the winner came from behind and despite shifting left no momentum was lost with the winning margin being a short head.
Murphy was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left with insufficient correction taking Odisseo (GB) marginally off its intended line.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, Smooth Talking (GB), placed fourth, shifted right at the same time as Golden Sands (IRE), unplaced, moved left causing the two runners to briefly come together, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that there was no riding offence involved.
Following the race, Shane Kelly reported that Chorus Girl (GB) was slowly away and suffered interference shortly after leaving the stalls.
