Joe Haynes the rider of Super Julius (GB), drawn 8, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Super Julius (GB), placed second, ridden by Joey Haynes, Gossamer Silk (GB), placed third, ridden by Ray Dawson and Maison Beau (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris.
Haynes was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he shifted left without correction, causing Maison Beau (GB) to be taken off its intended line and Morris to take a check off heels, which in turn caused Gossamer Silk (GB) to be short for room.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Mellencamp (IRE), placed sixth, ran too free, Collen Storey reported that Swooper (GB), unplaced, was slowly away, Erika Parkinson reported that Hot Mop (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed off the bend and the Veterinary Officer reported that Gossamer Silk (GB), placed third, lost its left fore shoe.
