Permission was given for Cool Spirit (GB) to go to post early and for Torious (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls Torious (GB), unplaced, jumped left, at the same time HEER’S SADIE, placed sixth, jumped right, which resulted in the rider of Lincoln Red (GB), placed second, having to take a slight check.
Having viewed a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Torious (GB), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Kevin Philippart de Foy could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance on this occasion, other than Laura Pearson reported that Torious (GB) ran flat.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of filly, during routine, testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Luke Catton reported that Cool Spirit (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed.
Denis Quinn reported that Hyba (GB), unplaced, was unsuited by the good to firm ground on this occasion and would prefer a softer surface.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of the filly, failed to reveal any abnormalities, other than Hyba (GB) had lost a right hind shoe.
