The winner, Crack Regiment (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sandown on 22 August 2021 where the gelding finished thirteenth of 16, beaten by 16 ½ lengths.
Henry Spiller's explanation that the gelding had benefitted from a return to the All-Weather was noted; Crack Regiment (FR) was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Crack Regiment (FR), ridden by Liam Jones, and Miami Joy (GB), placed second, ridden by Neil Callan.
Jones was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, causing Callan to have to take a slight check.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Taawfan (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away, Joe Fanning reported that Eton College (IRE), placed sixth, was denied a clear run, Sean Kirrane reported that Daphne May (GB), placed seventh, ran too free, and Jason Watson reported that Tiger Touch (USA), placed eighth, stopped quickly.
