Permission was given for Doonbeg Farmer (IRE) to be led early to post.
Al Qaasim (IRE), trained by David O'Meara, ran without its left hind shoe as the trainer had not indicated at declaration stage that the gelding should be withdrawn in the event of losing a shoe on the way to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the first bend involving Power On (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Daniel Muscutt, and Chetan (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mollie Phillips.
The interference was found to be accidental as Muscutt had rolled forward and got his mount sufficiently clear of Chetan (GB) and in a position to cross that runner, before Chetan (GB) locked on and speared back up his inside as Muscutt moved Power On (IRE) left-handed towards the rail, resulting in Phillips having to take a significant check to avoid the heels of Power On (IRE).
Following the race, Cieren Fallon reported that Eternal Light (IRE), placed third, ran too free, Oliver Stammers reported that Hardy (GB), placed eighth, was slowly away and Ellie MacKenzie reported that Doonbeg Farmer (IRE), placed seventh, was slowly away.
