Permission was given for Bookmark (GB) and Rumnotred (GB) to wear a red hood to post and Bay Of Naples (IRE) to go early to post.
Approximately 2 ½ furlongs out Strong Team (IRE), placed fifth, hung quickly left-handed causing the rider of Churchella (IRE), place fourth, to take a check, which in turn took Check My Pulse (IRE), unplaced, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

THE FIND MORE BIG DEALS AT BETUK AMATEUR JOCKEYS' HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) (DIV II) An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner GRACES QUEST, ridden by Miss Alice Keighley and GHOSTLY, placed second, ridden by Jack Nicholls.
Jim Goldie was present in the enquiry.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved GRACES QUEST’s placing as Nicholls was prevented from being able to ride out for a considerable length of time before being able to switch and stay on strongly to be beaten a quickly diminishing neck at the line.
Taking this into account the Stewards ordered the placings to be revised as follows: First: GHOSTLY, Second: GRACES QUEST, Third: LIBERATED LAD, Fourth: SUPER STARS (IRE).
Miss Keighley was suspended for 3 days for careless riding on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as she allowed her mount to drift left towards the rail when insufficiently clear causing GRACES QUEST to be checked for a significant distance.
The Clerk of Scales reported that Miss Elle Patterson, the rider of SUPER STARS (IRE), placed fourth, had been unable to weigh in owing to being assessed by the doctor.
The Stewards were satisfied that the correct weight had been carried throughout the race and confirmed the placing of SUPER STARS (IRE).
Following the race, Miss Serena Brotherton reported that TRAILBLAZER, unplaced, hung left- handed in the final three furlongs and Mr Eireann Cagney reported that TRUE NATION (IRE), unplaced, hung left- handed from turning into the straight.
