The Stewards interviewed C.M. Collins, rider of Roi Des Francs (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), in that he used the whip when his chance of winning or being placed had gone and having considered his record suspended him for two race days. B.J. Geraghty, rider of Rogue Trader, trained by T.J. Taaffe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped poorly. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rogue Trader, trained by T.J. Taaffe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal(samples taken for analysis). J.W. Kennedy, rider of Prince Of Scars trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
