An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference in this race both involving the winner La Barrosa (IRE), ridden by William Buick, and Qaader (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jim Crowley.
In the first incident, approximately one and a half furlongs out, the interference was found to be accidental in that Qaader (IRE) edged slightly right-handed at the same time as La Barrosa (IRE) went for a legitimate gap, causing both runners to be tightened for room.
In the second incident, approaching the line, the interference was also found to be accidental in that La Barrosa (IRE) hung quickly left-handed before being immediately corrected by Buick carrying Qaader (IRE) off its intended line.
Following the race, Stevie Donohoe reported that Albadri (IRE), placed fifth, ran too free.
